Exam Application

Can I download the Application Information?
Yes! You will need to:

1. Download the Candidate Information Guide (CIG) which will give you all the information you need to prepare for the exam as well as the exam processes. Just be careful as it is a large document!

2. You will also need to download your country specific application pack from the list below. This contains the application form, referee form (of which you need 2 professional referees) and the price supplement. If your country is not represented below please contact the IBLCE office for your application pack.

N.B. Your application form must be complete at time of applying to sit the exam. This includes:

1. Copies of your certificates of attendance or completion of education (minimum of 45 hours)
2. Documentation of breastfeeding counselling hour / clinical experience
3. All questions on the application form, answered and the form signed and dated
4. Professional registration (or professional academic degree for countries without registration bodies)
5. Two (2) professional referees
6. Payment.

If this is not possible to enclose your 2 professional references, you need to note this on your application form and have the referees send in your reference within 2 weeks of your application. IBLCE has very strict policies for application and if incomplete a fee will be charged to cover the administration costs of follow up.

The CIG is finalised in October/November the year before the exam.

Can I have a hardcopy of the Application Form?
Yes! IBLCE has limited copies printed each year you need to contact the Asia Pacific Regional Office and we can put one in the post for you. You can contact the office by:

NB. If you are recertifying by CERPs or Exam you require a Recertification Application Form. You can download a Recertification Application from the Download Centre or from the Recertification Application webpage
