Has your certification lapsed?
PLEASE NOTE IBLCE encourages those of you who have lapsed to become certified again. As you have lapsed, you are currently not certified as an IBCLC. This means that you will be taking the exam as an initial candidate. |

If your IBCLC certification lapsed less than 12 months before taking the exam again, you do not need to provide any evidence of experience of clinical hours or education hours. You can pay the repeat rate on your supplement. IBLCE strongly encourages you to undertake private exam study and based upon your individual training and background, additional coursework or lactation specific clinical practice hours may be needed to successfully complete the exam.
